= CURA ANIMARUM I have promised a blog entry about the thoughts behind "CURA, Story of a Whale", so I will try to remember a few things, now that the second drawing is finished. I am in the mood for writing right now, I might even make sense. If you would like to remain with your own ideas about the drawings, please don´t read further. "CURA" is the first drawing and "ANIMA" is the second. Together they form a complete story and their official shared title is "CURA ANIMARUM",
Hello dear readers, it´s been a while. A little traveling, a lot of work, new places, new challenges and my favourite, great new friends. I got some new skills, met new artists, started reading new books (for me new, not at all new otherwise), tasted new food and listened to some live jazz (with the new food and a great friend). That´s a little on my blog-absence. As I recently came home there´s another new thing, since it´s spring and everything is falling with it this year.
A post about painting with Black Light Paint. For my recent work "0 100 0 0 / Magenta", where I drew jellyfish, I experimented with acrylic Black Light Paint. Today they come in many colours and you can easily get them on the internet. My wish was to make the jellyfish glow under black light, so people could first take a look at them in normal daylight and than have a special "lights out" feature, where the drawing would come to life as if they were deep under the sea surface

It is great to be able to share a little about my work process and the idea behind a drawing. This is a very detailed and rich magazine and it makes me rea
This year at the end of April 2016, more exact on the 23rd of April, the beautiful Villa Valier hosted the international group exhibition in the heart of Mira, Italy. It was a beautiful event with artists that flew in from every continent, showcasing their works in a unique space of an old Italian villa. (more photos of the event can be found on www.biennalerivieradelbrenta.com) Mira is located only a short distance from Venice and its canal is lined with old summer residence
At the beginning of this year I travelled to the beautiful city of Florence in Italy, where I was honoured amongst incredible artists from around this globe with the 1° International Prize LEONARDO DA VINCI - THE UNIVERSAL ARTIST. It was a very beautiful and way too short experience, meeting incredible people that create not only amazing pieces of art, but also share their beautiful minds and hearts with everything they touch. Therefore I am grateul to the curators Dott. Sal
Getting a sudden impulse to draw a bigger picture, sometimes makes me forget how small a 0.10 isograph tip really is. It is very small, I learned the hard way. I cannot take whole days off to draw, but every hour I could take, was spent on this drawing and every day I was sure it would be done the next one. Somehow it never was. So from finding and buying a roll of paper, sketching, my life between and a lot more ink than usual, I went from being super excited about the idea
